Coaching services FAQs

How often is training feedback received?

We aim to provide all athletes with comprehensive feedback on all aspects of their training, for Plus athletes, feedback will be provided for sessions each weekday and for Standard athletes this will be provided after training blocks.

   When is contact available?

Coach Chris is available for contact most working days to answer any questions. Please note, Standard athletes should expect limited contact after initial set up and in-between training blocks.

What is involved in training reviews?

Hayden the physiologist with code your training data and Chris will provide feedback from this along with all the other points that have been picked up during the block. These sessions are great for discussing changes and developing plans together with the athlete.

How many training reviews are completed?

It depends on the training block aims, however prior to the season there is likely to be one each 8-10 weeks.

   What is the multi-disciplinary support?

We have a very experienced team of practitioners who actively discuss decisions on athletes training. During these meeting we focus on Plus athletes but Standard athletes will also receive benefits.

How does the strength and conditioning work?

Each athlete has general strength sessions to complete as part of their week organised by the strength and conditioning coach. There is an option to have an individual S&C session written by Pete, this will be tailored to your individual needs and requires consultations with Pete.

How is coaching provided with the strength and conditioning?

Screening days are set up usually twice in the off season to assess athletes technique and help decipher the plan. The strength and conditioning coach also organises individual calls after training blocks for those paying for the individual programming. Group video calls and information is sent out to help guide the general sessions.

What is involved with the nutrition support?

General information is provided to the group aligned with the training focuses and 1:1 sessions are provided for individual guidance. A nutrition screening form is sent out to each athlete on start up and periodically to help decipher their needs.

How many 1:1 nutrition session do I receive on the full service?

You can expect 4 per year which is organised when the nutritionist is available.

What are the Mallory Park services?

Field aerodynamic testing, run movement analysis, bike profiling and cycling technical coaching on the track. These have been developed specifically for coached athletes needs and are heavily discounted to make them affordable periodically.

   What are the swim sessions?

Group coached swim session on Monday evenings at Atherstone Leisure complex and 1:1 sessions on Saturday afternoon at the same place.

What are the bike and run sessions?

Coached sessions from Mallory park circuit. The bike session is Wednesday evenings and the run session is Thursday evenings. See more here.
