Optimize performance and encourage longevity and enjoyment from the sport

  • Irrelevant of the service we are providing a comprehensive support package informed by a team of experienced and qualified practioners and coach 
  • The aim is to decipher the needs for your development and tailor the programme accordingly, in a stepwise and sustainable approach for your long term development
  • We endeavor to provide cohesive performance support in the most affordable way for aspiring athletes
  • Have a look on the athletes page to see some of the athletes we have worked with past and present here. 

Team aims

  • Physio screening / MOT – Decipher the athletes biomechanics and injury status to inform strength aims and session programming
  • Strength and conditioning  develop robustness, optimize biomechanics and energy output, avoid injury
  • Nutrition resources – Periodic content based on the training phase and diary analysis to encourage fuelling for the work required.
  • Scientific monitoring – field testing protocols and training focusses deliberated with our physiologist to optimize potential adaptations and decipher progress
  • Communication between the team to discuss individual athlete strategies

Programme key points

  • Plus category athletes advised dependent on injury history and overall athlete needs. This is dynamic and consequently may change periodically 
  • Individual coaching athletes limited to 20
  • Bespoke plan athletes receive communication before the programme is set, during week 5 and when the programme finishes

Hayden Allen

Physiology

Hayden supports us in all aspects physiology. Whether that be deciding field testing, interpreting that information or applying it to training focusses. His passion and knowledge for endurance physiology is second to none and has proved invaluable in ensuring our testing and training methodology is informed for each supported athlete

 

His current position is in teaching after completing a PhD at Leeds Beckett University. We met during his Mres at Loughborough University.

Caroline Tarnowski

Nutrition

Caroline helps support us by checking our nutrition advice for training and racing  is informed and up to date as well as being specific to each athletes needs.

 

Caroline is studying for a PhD and is the lead sport nutritionist at Univeristy of Birmingham. She’s completed placements at Gatorade sports science institute and British Triathlon during her BSc and MSc at Loughborough University where we met.

Peter Gascoigne

Strength and Conditioning

Peter supports the athletes with bespoke strength and conditioning plans, aimed towards each athletes individual training experience, performance needs and injury history.

 

The main goal is to support the athletes training with strength work that will allow them to train more and ultimately perform a faster swim, bike and run.

Claire Howard

Physio MSCP

Claire works with the supported athletes in the East Midlands area individually and feeds back reports to inform the training going forward.

 

She can also provide useful insights from a physios perspective to team discussions.
